Born in Cleveland, Ohio Richard has remained in this area his whole life.  Rich has always been the documenter in the family always taking an interest in his family history (despite having a small family).  Richard’s parents never had the same needs, but they always enjoyed the fact that Rich took videos and captured stills of the family throughout their lives and they enjoyed looking at the images and remembering bygone days.

Rich got his start in photography in high school and as a teenager worked for a local photo dealer and after college went to work in the photo industry.  Rich emerged from the photo industry to information technology, and he has taken the technology to produce Memories-2-DVD.com.

Karen hails from the Detroit area where most of her family still lives.  She too has always been interested in her roots and growing up always found the photo album, the movie reels and videos to be important to who she is.  When Karen and Rich met, Karen knew little about the photo industry, but she learned quickly and together they formed a bond.

Rich and Karen have been working at video and photography together since the 1980’s.  In 2004 they took it to the next level and  became GREEN PHOTOGRAPHERS without even realizing that is what we were doing.  It was part of their business plan to provide a service and a product that would be affordable for their clients.  The concept was that all images photographed would be preserved to the highest quality media of the time and the client would own their images.  If their clients choose to have their images printed, they can provide that service, or they can print them, themselves.  Not every photo needs to be on paper.  You can save a forest if you don’t print every image..

Most recently, Alex has joined the family team, and he too is learning the photography business.  Alex is a Vocal Music Major in college who is hoping to add yet another skill to his resume.
